Maybelline Color Show 60 Seconds: Review

Hi everyone!

I have been trying out these Maybelline Color Show 60 Seconds nail polishes for a while now. When it comes to any beauty product, I prefer to give it a good go before I give an honest review!

I was instantly drawn to these because of the HUGE range of colours, an affordable price and easy to get your hands on at the drugstore.

On the Maybelline website it is describes as follows:

“Chip-free and quick-dry nail polish in vibrant shades that are perfect for trendy nail looks. 2x more pigments for a 1-coat colour that dries in 60 seconds and a newly improved brush for easy application.”

I ended up picking up two of the more natural colours to go for a day-to-day look. I picked up the shades 1 and 150 as shown below. The first, named ‘Go Bare’ is a neutral dusty pink and the second is a light purple mauve colour with grey undertones.

HOW TO USE/APPLY:

Step 1. Apply a clear base coat to help prevent your nails from yellowing and to extend the life of your nail polish colour.
Step 2. Brush one coat of lacquer from the centre of your nail starting from the base to the tip.
Step 3. For the cleanest look, leave a small space at the base of the nail, then apply polish to the rest of the nail.

Verdict:

Overall, I’m pretty pleased with this product. It’s main advantage being that it has such an exciting range, for a cheap price, meaning I will definitely be picking up some more. It lasted without chips for a week (with a topcoat) and I also got plenty of compliments so what’s not to love!

  • Ease of application: 4/5
  • Pigmentation: 4/5
  • Longevity: 3.5/5
  • Ease of removal: 4/5
  • Cost: 5/5
