Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer: Review & Swatch

For a long time now I’ve been trying to do my research and commit to a more ‘high end’ brand which could be my new miracle concealer. As I have normal/dry skin, I’ve always had the persistent problem with my under eye area being particularly dry and flaky (no matter how much moisturiser I use).

My previous concealers have been the Maybelline Ereaser Eye Concealer, and the Revlon ColourStay Concealer… not necessarily bad concealers as I’ve been using them for a long time…although the shade range in these were a bit disappointing…but that’s another story.

So I decided to try out the Urban Decay Concealers as it offered such a good shade range that could match my pale skin. I picked up the Fair Neutral shade (lightest shade). The website described the product as follows:

” Hide even your most scandalous flaws. Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer gives you buildable, even coverage with a luminous, demi-matte finish. Ultra lightweight, this high-tech formula melds like a second skin effect and gives you full coverage in an instant.
For complete coverage, just keep building; no matter how much you apply, Naked Skin Concealer always blends beautifully and won’t settle into fine lines.”

I’m a sucker for packaging so I have to say it was a delight to open my delivery. The rose gold packaging is really sleek and the tube itself is simple but effective. I’m also impressed with the applicator…it was easy to apply and a small bit ended up going  a long way…there was no need to double dip.

It was a rich and creamy formula and blended perfectly when used with a beauty blender. I wouldn’t say it was full coverage…but would cover any under eye circles or blemishes without any problem. It could also be easily set using some loose powder.

Only negative…the smell…just smelt a bit chemically? Hard to describe haha but other than that I can not complain. This will be my daily go to concealer without a doubt.

You can buy the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer here for £19!

  1. I’ve never used a high concealer, but after trying several drugstore concealers I think I’m ready to commit to a high end concealer as well. I have the same problem with dry skin so it’s hard to find something that’s not dry and flaky under my eyes. It just seems like so much money for a tiny little tube of makeup haha
