Rimmel London BB Cream: Review & Swatch

Hey everyone! Thankfully it’s nearly the weekend, just one more day to go! I don’t know about you guys but I’ve had a stressful week at work so looking forward to just chilling and doing absolutely nothing!

Today’s review is on Rimmel London’s BB cream 9-in-1 in the shade Light. I bought this a few weeks ago and wanted to give it a few wears to see how it held up. I bought this because I wanted something quick and easy to throw on in the morning, that would give me a bit of coverage but nothing too heavy, and at £6.99 I couldn’t resist.

Rimmel says this product…

“Primes, moisturises, minimizes pores, conceals, covers, smoothes, mattifies, brightens, and helps protect.
Lightweight, ultra comfortable formula instantly gives a flawless, 100% natural finish.”

Now I don’t know about you, but that is a lot of good things they have just listed, so let’s find out if any of it is true!1_1_8_1_2983383

Some things to note…I’m really not a fan of the squeezy bottle. The product is so runny that if you aren’t careful you will have BB everywhere, be warned! Another downside is the colour range, I believe this only offer 3 colour types, which is disappointing, especially from a brand that does have a decent amount of range in their foundations etc.

Apart from that, I am a fan of this product! It doesn’t take long to apply, just rub a good bit on your finger tips and apply (or use a beauty blender/brush). Now I’m not saying that this product is going to give you full coverage, but it was get rid of any redness and even out your skin tone. And when they say matte…they mean matte! There will be no shine on your face, so this could be a great product if you have oily skin!

You can easily build the product with out it getting cakey, and it also has SPF 25 in it which is always a bonus.

Verdict: A great BB cream for semi-coverage, especially for oily skin, but lacking in colour range

  • Ease of application: 4/5
  • Coverage: 3/5
  • Texture: 4/5
  • Longevity: 3.5/5
  • Ease of removal: 4/5
  • Cost: 4/5

You can buy these online at Rimmel’s website or in most drugstores for £6.99.

Let me know what you think in the comments below! I love hearing from you!

Thanks for reading, hope this has been helpful!
