Hi everyone!
Todays post is all about Morphe’s liquid lipsticks and if they are really as good as the YouTube beauty guru’s say…I managed to pick up 4 lipsticks from Beauty Bay a few weeks ago in the shades Virgin, Sasha, Jealousy and Vanity. Morphe describes these lipsticks as:
“A long-lasting liquid lipstick with a modern matte finish. With a velvety smooth texture and non-drying formula, Morphe Brushes Liquid Lipstick offers stay all day wear free from cracking or flaking. Available in an array of twenty-two shades, the professional formula offers a pigment rich hue to compliment a wide range of skin tones and looks.”
My first impressions of the formula was that it reminded me a bit of the Lip Lingerie range from NYX because of its almost mousse consistency. I’m already a huge fan of these NYX lippies so I was very optimistic these were going to work for me! I also thought the applicator was a really good size, smaller than most applicators (including from NYX) which made staying in the lines a lot easier – I didn’t even need a lip liner!
The first shade I was really drawn to was Jealousy, which is a deep reddish brown. I really feel in love with this shade, it’s perfect for days when a red lipstick might be a bit too bold, and this is a great alternative.
But what about the formula?
I found the lipstick easy to apply, although it did need a couple of minutes before it was completely dry. But once it was dry, it wasn’t moving. I wore this from 9am, and it was still on my lips at 5pm (although it definitely had started to disappear around the centre of my lips). But I had had countless coffees and lunch so I really can’t complain.
However, this formula is definitely drying…it was a slight relief to take the leftover bits off as soon as I got home. It has started to wear and crumble so had definitely was past it’s wear time. I would definitely recommend a good layer of lip balm before applying, and after taking it off. If you don’t mind drying formulas then this lipstick is perfect for you! I will definitely be using this again, and probably buying some more. If you are interested in seeing lipswatches of all the shades I have then let me know!
For all my UK readers you can buy these on BeautyBay for £12.50, or directly from the Morphe website!
Verdict:
- Ease of application: 5/5
- Pigmentation: 5/5
- Texture: 4/5
- Longevity: 4/5
- Ease of removal: 3/5
- Cost: 5/5

I really like the color. But I was scared to buy it because Morphe has some win and fail products just as every other brand. I really loved your review and I am not into drying lipsticks as I have very dry lips already. Thanks 🙂

I have a few of the Morphe liquid lippies and although I love them, I agree that that they crumble after a while. I didn’t find it drying on my lips but then I always put lip balm on before hand. xx
