Hey everyone – hope you’re all having a great weekend! I know I’m probably the last beauty addict in the world to try out Revlon’s Ultra HD Matte range, but with a few new additions to the line the temptation was too much. So I went ahead and treated myself to 3 shades; Seduction, Devotion and Passion…
These lipsticks are described as follows:
“Lightweight, high definition matte lip colour. Moisturising, velvety feel. 100% wax-free, gel formula.
- Creamy mango and whipped vanilla fragrance
- Plush velvety applicator
- The gel base provides a weightless feel with a smoother more even application than a traditional wax based lipstick
- Revolutionary high definition colour clarity in each coat
- Deliciously scented with creamy mango and vanilla”
First off, the packaging of these lipsticks is beautiful, simple and stylish. I love the curved edges and it feels like an expensive product in the hand. The applicator is a good size, with very small bristles making for a smooth application of the lipsticks. And Revlon weren’t lying about the smell, it is quite sweet but personally I love it!
But there is a big but here…
These lipsticks are labelled as ‘Ultra HD MATTE lipcolours’, but this lipstick is by no means matte. Possibly a bit of false advertisement here (sorry Revlon!).
However, this does not take away from how good this formula is. I am IN LOVE with how creamy and long lasting it is, without completely drying out your lips. It almost has a gloss consistency when you first apply but then does slightly dry down, but it is never fully matte.
The colour range is beautiful, and the formula is super pigmented which is exactly what you want. I honestly think this is one of the best lipsticks products currently available at the drugstore, there is nothing else like it from any other brands that I can find! I will definitely be going out and purchasing the rest of the collection. These have just fought their way to the top of my drugstore lipsticks!!
- Ease of application: 5/5
- Pigmentation: 4/5
- Texture: 5/5
- Longevity: 4/5
- Ease of removal: 5/5
- Cost: 4/5
These can be bought at most local drugstores for £8.99.
Let me know what you think in the comments below! I love hearing from you!
Thanks for reading, hope this has been helpful!
